Some insurance companies these days sell directly to the customer via the internet or telephone.  That method is fine as long as you understand exactly what coverage you ought to have, and never require professional assistance in understanding your coverage or need help in presenting a claim.

As your independent agent, we provide the personable advice and assistance you need and our price is usually no higher than the company that sells direct or the agent who represents only one company.
